02
Challenges
The transportation gap in suburban areas poses a significant challenge for individuals seeking reliable and affordable transportation options. Traditional ride-sharing services often result in long wait times and high costs, making it particularly difficult for residents in these areas to access the mobility they need. This disparity in service availability and affordability has a direct impact on the daily lives of suburban residents, hindering their ability to commute conveniently and efficiently.
Addressing this challenge is crucial to bridge the transportation gap and ensure that everyone has access to reliable and affordable transportation solutions, enhancing their overall quality of life.

03
Solutions
Riksa is dedicated to providing a unique and affordable solution for individuals living in suburban areas. By combining affordability, speed, and convenience, Riksa aims to revolutionize the way people commute in these areas.
Here's how Riksa is making a meaningful difference:
• Affordable: Riksa provides affordable rides, significantly cheaper than traditional ride-sharing services.
• Speed and Efficiency: Riksa optimizes ride matching, minimizing wait times by connecting riders with nearby rickshaws heading in the same direction.
• Transparent Pricing: Riksa ensures transparency by eliminating surge pricing and hidden fees, offering straightforward and consistent pricing.
04
User Research and Insights
Engaging in in-depth interviews with a group of 8 individuals, consisting of 6 participants aged 24-30 and 2 participants aged 50-60, contributed valuable insights:
• 30% of the participants utilized ride-sharing services on a daily basis.
• When queried about the most crucial features they seek in a ride-sharing app, 90% expressed a desire for more cost-effective options.
• More people would switch from public transport to ridesharing if it was more affordable.
• In regard to data sharing with applications, 60% of the participants indicated a level of comfort with this aspect.

05
Competitive Analysis
The analysis of the competition (Ola, Uber) revealed that in suburban areas, availability of cabs is scarce, and it is often difficult to find one. This leads to higher charges and long wait times for the rides.
It was also evaluated that other ride-sharing apps providing two-wheeled service, like Rapido, offered cost-effective options but were found to be lacking in comfort when compared to four-wheeled ride-sharing services.
Riksa addresses these issues by connecting riders with local rickshaw services (tuk-tuks, e-rickshaws, and auto-rickshaws) which are abundant in supply in these areas.
06
User Personas
Persona profiles were developed by talking to users and understanding their needs and behaviors. This helps in tailoring services to match their specific requirements.

07
User Journey Maps
A user journey map was created to analyze the current interactions of users with ride-sharing services, aiming to uncover areas where improvements and enhancements could be made. This comprehensive examination sought to provide insights into the various touchpoints and pain points experienced by users throughout their journey, ultimately guiding the refinement of the service for a more refined user-centric experience.
